Essential Oils

 You can expect your soaps to retain their essential oil scent for up to a year but possibly longer,  this area is still anecdotal.

  • Anise star has a sweet aroma. It is useful for rheumatism, bronchitis, coughing, colic, indigestion/cramping, colds, flu.
  • Benzoin has a sweet vanilla, cream-soda like aroma. It is useful for depression, anxiety and as a disinfectant.
  • Bergamot has a fresh, floral, citrus, spicy aroma. It helps relieve scattered thoughts by helping to promote focus and clarity.
  • Cajeput is related to tea tree oil and has many of the same properties. It has a strong minty scent which can help with focus and mood elevation. Cajeput is often used for muscle pain and stiffness.
  • Camphor is an excellent disinfectant, insecticide, and germicide.  It acts as a good anesthetic it causes numbness of the sensory nerves at the area of application.

  • Cedarwood has a woody and balsamic aroma. It is often used for oily skin conditions. It has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fungal properties.
  • Chamomile
  • Cinnamon has a warm earthy spice aroma. This oil helps relieve the heaviness of depression.
  • Clove has anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties which makes it a great skin healer.

  • Lavender has a rich sweet herbaceous aroma. Lavender promotes feelings of balance,  it helps with anxiety and a busy mind.
  • Lemon has a fresh citrusy aroma. It is uplifting and generates feelings of well-being.
  • Lime
  • Listea has a heavy, sweet citrusy aroma.  It is used for its anti-microbial properties and to help promote deep sleep.
  • Nutmeg
  • Peppermint has a minty sweet aroma. It is good for focus and alleviating feelings of grief, heaviness, and worry. It is very uplifting.
  • Patchouli has a sweet, earthy, spicy, musky aroma.  It is used as a deodorant, an aphrodisiac, and an astringent.
  • Orange has a sweet, sugary citrus aroma. It has calming and joyful sensations because of its antidepressant and stimulating properties.
  • Rose geranium has a strong rose scent with a hint of mint. Is used to treat oily skin, uplift moods and stimulate the lymph system.
  • Rosemary has a fresh camphor-like aroma. It is used for clearing cloudy thinking and increasing mental stimulation. It is also frequently used to heal the scalp and encourage hair growth.
  • Spearmint has a warm minty aroma. Spearmint can soothe emotions and promote clear thinking.
  • St. John’s Wort 
  • Tea tree has a fresh, warm camphorous aroma. It is effective against bacteria, fungi, and viruses and stimulates the immune system
  • Ylang ylang
  • Almond Oil Fragrance This is not an essential oil it is a fragrance oil. It is phthalate free.
